The Opportunity

Your next commission is being searched for right now

Homeowners planning extensions, developers scoping sites and businesses fitting out premises all start on Google. Most practices win work on referral alone and never appear when somebody searches without a recommendation to go on.

Fewer enquiries, better ones

You do not need volume. One right project beats twenty tyre-kickers and a fortnight of unpaid pitching. I build campaigns that filter hard on project type and budget signals before anyone reaches your inbox.

📍

Target the areas you want to work in

There is no point appearing for projects you would turn down. I target the specific boroughs, postcodes and conservation areas where the work you actually want to take on happens.

📈

Stop relying on referral alone

Referral is excellent until it goes quiet, and it always goes quiet eventually. Search gives you a second pipeline that you own rather than one that depends on who your last client happens to know.

What I Do

Two channels. One specialist. Both pointed at Google.

I do not sell packages of things you do not need. For an architecture practice, two channels move the needle, and I run both of them myself.

💰

Google Ads

Appear at the top of Google when somebody is actively looking for an architect for a project in your area. Fast, targeted and measurable from the first week.

  • Campaigns targeting project-led searches like "architect for house extension" and "loft conversion architect"
  • Negative keywords blocking the solution architect, cloud architect and jobs traffic that drains architecture budgets
  • Location targeting limited to the boroughs and postcodes you actually want to work in
  • Ad copy built around RIBA stages, planning experience and the project types you want
  • Landing page management so enquiries arrive with enough detail to qualify
  • Ongoing bid management and campaign optimisation
🔍

SEO

Build organic visibility for the searches prospective clients make while they are still deciding whether to appoint anyone at all. Rankings keep delivering without a cost per click.

  • Keyword targeting around project types: extensions, loft conversions, new builds, listed buildings
  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation for architect searches in your area
  • Project pages structured around your completed work, which is what prospective clients actually browse
  • Technical SEO and image optimisation, since practice websites are image-heavy and usually slow
  • Content answering the questions clients ask before they appoint anyone
🔗

PPC and SEO together

Run separately, each channel leaves money on the table. Run together, they make each other cheaper and stronger.

  • Real search data from your ads shows me which project types are worth ranking for organically
  • Strong organic rankings let you pull your paid bids back on the same terms
  • Holding the ad slot and the Maps result on one search doubles your share of the click
  • One plan, one dashboard, one person accountable for all of it
  • £1,000 a month for both rather than £1,500 for the two separately

I also do web design and social media. Neither is part of these plans, but I will give you honest guidance on both at no cost, and price them separately if you want them handled properly.

Who I Work With

For practices at every stage

Whether you are a sole practitioner or running a small studio, I build the strategy around the work you actually want to win.

01

Sole practitioners

Running everything yourself and wanting a steady flow of the right enquiries without chasing every lead that comes in.

02

Small practices

A handful of staff, looking to grow beyond referral and get selective about which projects you take on.

03

Residential specialists

Extensions, loft conversions and listed buildings, where homeowners search directly rather than going through a contact.

04

Practices tired of pitching

If you are spending unpaid hours pitching for work you may not win, visibility brings clients who arrive already sold on you.

How It Works

Simple. Transparent. No jargon.

I make search marketing easy to understand so you can focus on the projects coming in, not on trying to decode an agency report.

1

Free consultation and audit

I look at your current visibility, understand the project types and areas you want more of, and identify where the biggest opportunities sit for your practice specifically.

2

A plan built on what you want to win

I recommend where the budget goes between paid and organic based on your goals, not on what is easiest for me to sell you.

3

I get to work

Campaigns go live, your site gets optimised, and enquiries start arriving from people who found you directly rather than through a contact.

4

Refine and build

I report as often as you want, in plain English. No vanity metrics, just an honest view of what is working and what I am changing.

Common questions

Something not answered here? Get in touch and I will get straight back to you.

What does it cost? +
Google Ads management is £750 a month. SEO is £750 a month. Both together are £1,000 a month rather than £1,500, which saves you £500 every month. Everything is monthly rolling with no tie-ins, so if it is not working you give notice and walk.
Is my ad spend included in that price? +
No, and that is deliberate. Your ad spend goes straight to Google from your own account, which you own and can see into at any time. My fee covers the strategy, the campaign builds, the ad copy, the ongoing optimisation and the reporting. You always know exactly what you are paying me and exactly what you are paying Google. Nothing is marked up in between.
Why is the combined plan so much cheaper than the two separately? +
Because a lot of the work overlaps. The keyword research, the landing page optimisation and the reporting all serve both channels. Doing that work once for both is more efficient than doing it twice, so I would rather pass the saving to you than charge you twice for the same job.
What ad budget do I need on top of the fee? +
Most practices I work with start somewhere between £500 and £1,500 a month in ad spend. Architecture terms are not cheap, so I would rather you spend properly across a tight area than thinly across a wide one. That money goes straight to Google from your own account, and I will tell you honestly what your area needs before you commit.
Do people really search for architects on Google? +
Yes, and more than most practices assume. Referral works well for repeat clients and word of mouth, but a large share of first-time clients, particularly homeowners planning an extension or a conversion, have nobody to ask. They open Google. If you are not there, the practice that is gets the call.
Google Ads for architects is notoriously expensive. How do you handle that? +
The expense usually comes from wasted clicks rather than genuine competition. The word architect is also a tech job title, so untended campaigns bleed budget on solution architect, cloud architect and data architect searches that will never become a commission. I run exact and phrase match only with a heavy negative keyword list built specifically for this, which is where most of the saving comes from.
How long does SEO take to work? +
Meaningful movement usually takes three to six months, and longer in competitive city markets. That is exactly why I recommend running both channels. Paid search brings enquiries while the organic work builds, and once the rankings arrive you can pull the paid bids back on those terms.
Can you help me win more commercial or developer work? +
Yes. Commercial and developer work needs a different approach to residential. I target the search terms developers and commercial clients actually use, which are different from homeowner terms and usually far cheaper per click, and build the credibility signals they check before appointing: completed schemes, sector experience and a professional web presence.
Am I tied into a long-term contract? +
No. Everything is monthly rolling with no long-term tie-ins. If you want to stop, you simply give notice and are responsible for the current month. I would rather keep clients because the work is delivering than because a contract says they have to stay.
